My husband is 25 years older than me. How he made me better

I am 28, he is 53. Maybe our age difference affects our choice of music, but not how we fight, what goals we set and how much we love each other. In fact, our marriage - and we have been together for 6 years - only made me better, and here's how:

1. I listen more.

My husband has a huge life experience, so I learned to listen. And knowing his experience - good and bad - helps me make personal decisions.

2. I became more open to everything.

When we first met, I was 18 and I didn't want my peers to judge me, thinking that it was strange and disgusting to be with someone who is the same age as your parents. In the meantime, the older women thought that he was with me only because of my youth, that he had a midlife crisis. After all this, I realized that you can't be so blinkered in everything, not just about the age difference.

3. He knows what he is doing.

Unlike young guys, he thinks not only about himself and his desires. He knows how to look after, just knows how to enjoy the moment and knows how to give pleasure.

4. He helps me appreciate life.

He reminds me to live in the moment and not miss anything. Young people often strive for heights, statuses. But my husband reminds me that behind all this we must not forget to live, because I will not have time to look back and I will already be his age.

5. I learned to follow my heart.

We were told that we would not succeed, but we listened to our hearts and are happy as never before. It reminds me to live for myself, not for those who say how to live, whom to marry, and when to have children.
