Philadelphia Eagles Refuse To Stand For National Anthem,Hands On Heart. See Reasons And The Consequences Posed By Trump

Rodney McLeod, Chris Long and Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles raise their fists during a game.

A good number of Super Bowl Champion of Philadelphia's Eagles have refused to stand for national anthem, hand on their hearts.

As alternative for not standing for national anthem, the new NFL policy has given players who would not want to stand for national anthem the option of remaining in the locker room during the playing of national anthem.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color'' says  Colin Kaepernick.

After winning the 2017 championship, the NBA champion Golden State Warriors were invited to the White House by Donald Trump as part of the victory celebration but some  of them declined the invitation because they disagree with Trump to stand for national anthem hand on heart:

"The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow," . "They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better."

Donald Trump has repeatedly frowned at this and has asked team owners to fire any player who refuses to stand for national anthem. He described the refusal to stand for national anthem as disrespectful to their country as kneeling :

The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!
